Artist's Note

I really wanted to record "Precious Lord" for this album, but I felt better about playing than singing it, so I play it (with help from Janice Powers on keyboards) on a strange "Saturn '63" guitar (looks kind of like a cross between a Gibson 330 and an old kitchen table) in Open C (ECGCGC-high to low) tuning. I got the Fairfields to do some wordless vocalizing on it. They knew the song real well.
