Colin Linden: Through The Storm Through The Night

The phrase, "Through the Storm Through the Night" comes from the lyric of a song that has come to define modern gospel music, "Precious Lord, Take My Hand". "Precious Lord" was composed by the great gospel composer (and former blues great) Thomas A "Georgia Tom" Dorsey. This simple, beautiful song cuts through the ages. It was the song played at Martin Luther King's funeral, and has been sung by virtually every gospel artist. Much of the music on this album was heavily influenced by the spirit of gospel music.
